Head Coach: Chris Roche (16th season)

Coach Chris Roche came to Farmingdale State in the summer of 2005. Since then, Chris has completely turned around the women's soccer program, compiling an overall record of 196-104-27, leading his team to 12 Conference Championships (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019) and 12 NCAA Tournament appearances (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019).

In 2018, Coach Roche guided his team to the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament victory with a 1-0 win over #19 Brandeis in the First Round. The 2018 team also reached a #21 ranking in the Nation during the season.

Over the past 15 seasons, Coach has won 10+ games 14 times. His winningest season came in 2010 with a 17-5 record, tying a program-high seven-game win streak. He has coached four Skyline Rookie's of the Year ('06, '11, '14, '16), three Skyline Player's of the Year ('10, '15, '18) and three Skyline Defensive Player's of the Year ('12, '14, '18). He has also coached nine All-Region players, three of which were 3-time recipients of that award.

Prior to Farmingdale, he was the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Briarcliffe for two years, where he coached the team to an 18-8-2 record, as well as a number three ranking in the country in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).

Chris graduated from the University of Scranton in 1985 with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Finance. While studying at Scranton, he played one year of soccer and was then hired as the assistant coach.

Assistant Coach: Fred Pavey

This is also Fred's 15th season with the Rams. Fred holds an NSCAA National Diploma, NSCAA High School Diploma and a US Youth Soccer National License. He is a lifelong resident of Hicksville and has been active in the local soccer community, training club teams for over 25 years.

His college days were spent attending Hofstra University. When not training and coaching, Fred enjoys spending time with his wife Dina and dog Harley.


Assistant Coach: Tracy Thalhamer

Tracy enters her fourth season as a member of the Farmingdale coaching staff. She was a former assistant women's soccer coach at her alma mater, St. Joseph's College. In her undergraduate studies at St. Joe's, Tracy received her Bachelor's Degree in English Secondary Education & Speech Communication with a certificate in Theatre. She received her Master's Degree from Stony Brook University.

Currently, Tracy trains and coaches in the Long Island Junior Select program with various age groups. She also works with youth teams in the Longwood Soccer Club and the East Islip Soccer Club. Tracy holds her NSCAA National Coaching License and has had education in "Reading the Game". She looks forward to working with and learning from her long time rivals at Farmingdale State College.


Assistant Coach: Ashley Monzillo

Ashley enters her fourth season as an FSC assistant coach. She played for Farmingdale State from 2013-2016 as a goalkeeper and was nominated as a captain her senior year. On top of day-to-day coaching assistance and operations, Ashley is in charge of the Farmingdale State women's soccer social media accounts. She graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management.


Assistant Coach: Carly Schneider

Coach Schneider joined the Farmingdale State coaching staff in March of 2019 after serving as the women's soccer and lacrosse assistant coach at SUNY Maritime for two seasons.

Prior to Maritime, Schneider spent a year as the JV Girls Soccer Head Coach and assistant Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach at John F. Kennedy High School. Schneider also worked at Soccer Shots, a youth soccer program for kids ages 2-8, from February 2017-August 2018.

Schneider was a four-year member of the FSC soccer and lacrosse teams from 2009-2013, appearing in 74 soccer games and 56 lacrosse games. She recorded 43 points in her soccer career and 155 points in lacrosse. Schneider is ranked seventh on the FSC Women’s Lacrosse All-Time list for most career points.

Schneider currently works at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum as an event receptionist and also at On The Marc Training as an executive assistant and personal trainer with her CFSC Level 1 Certification. As a member of the United Soccer Coaches Association, she also holds a National and Advanced National Diploma.

Schneider graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management from Farmingdale State College in May 2013 and is currently working toward her Master’s in Sport Management at Adelphi University.
