2003 Season Recap
May 30, 2003

The men's baseball team finished the 2003 season with an overall record of 10-11, including wins over future Skyline opponents St. Joseph's, Kings Point and Stevens Tech. The team not only had 18 games cancelled because of the weather, but lost two important players to injury in the beginning of the season. Starting second baseman Ian Roche-Tilden, a senior, was lost for the year after just 6 games due to an ankle injury. After starting the season 2-0, starting pitcher Gary McGuinness tore an elbow tendon and was also lost for the season.

Despite those hardships, the team was very competitive and had some great individual performances. Centerfielder Anthony Scali led the team in hitting, batting over .460 and provided rock solid defense. 3rd baseman and starting picher Nestor Estevez had a great all-around season and led the Rams pitching staff in earned run average. Outfielders Phil Corso and John Hughes both had great season's offensively for coach Rocco's team.
