Farmingdale improved to 5-9, 3-5 Skyline with a conference win over King’s Point (1-15, 0-8) 8-4. The Rams led 6-0 going into the seventh. Farmingdale’s Wayde Anderson (Bronx, NY/Cardinal Spellman) opened up the scoring with a solo homerun in the third, while Robert Sorbera (Fresh Meadows, NY/Cardozo) brought in three runs with a bases loaded double in the sixth. Ian Roche-Tilden (Huntington, NY/Harborfields) and Anthony Scali (Massapequa Pk, NY/Massapequa) both stole 2 while on base in the seventh to put two more runs on the board for the Rams. Sorbera would add 2 more RBI’s to his plate in the eighth with a homerun that brought in Gary Block (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale) from first.

The Mariners would score 4 runs in the final two innings as Adam Vanden (Longmont, CO/Longmont) drove in a run with a sac fly to right in the eighth. Alfred Giordano (Landenberg, PA/Salesianum) drove in one run in the ninth and Harlow Wood (Poulsbo, WA/North Kitsap) connected on a 2-run single before the end of the inning.

Joseph Bono (Selden, NY/St. Anthony’s) improved his record to 2-0 on the mound for the Rams, with Greg Gredjikian (Copiague, NY/Copiague) picking up his third save.

Farmingdale will travel to Throgs Neck, NY to face conference opponent SUNY Maritime in a single game on Thursday, April 8th at 3pm.
