Farmingdale State (1-4) fell 11-5 against FDU-Florham (5-2) in a non-conference baseball game on Tuesday afternoon. FDUís Jim DaSilva (Basking Ridge, NJ/Ridge) and Rob Porcaro (Neshanic Station, NJ/Somerville) led the offense with a combined 5 RBIís and three runs scored. Farmingdale was tied 1-1 after two at-bats, before giving up eight runs in the second inning.

Gary Block (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale) and Rob Piervinanzi (New Hyde Park, NY/Herricks) both recorded two hits, one RBI and one run scored. Freshman Jesse Scott (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) relieved Keith Gottschalk (Washingtonville, NY/Washingtonville) in the second inning and pitched 5.1 innings of relief, striking out seven batters and only allowing two runs.

The Rams face William Paterson for a single game at home on Wednesday, April 6th at 3:00pm.
