Jones Leads Panthers Past Rams

The Rams (5-15, 4-10 Skyline) took a quick 1-0 lead in the first, but could not get the offense going throughout the next eight innings, in a 13-1 loss to Old Westbury (11-17, 7-8 Skyline). Sophomore Greg Jones led the Panthers with four hits (two doubles and a triple) and knocked in five runs. Senior pitcher Richard Ruiz took the win going 8.1 innings with five strikeouts.

Nick Barone (North Babylon, NY/North Babylon) knocked in the Rams only run on a sacrifice fly to score Rob Piervinanzi (New Hyde Park, NY/Herricks).

Farmingdale will host two double-headers this weekend; St. Joseph?s College on April 23rd at noon and Old Westbury on April 24th at noon.
