Farmingdale, NY ? The Farmingdale State baseball team lost both games of a two-game series to conference opponent St. Joseph's this week to drop to 13-16 overall and 8-4 in the Skyline. Sophomore pitcher William Jansen (Westhampton Beach, NY/Westhampton Beach) went five and third, giving up two runs on eight hits in the 2-1 loss on Monday. Sophomore pitcher Jesse Scott (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) pitched a complete game, going eight innings and giving up one run on 10 hits in the 1-0 defeat.

On Monday, junior right fielder Nick Barone (Lindenhurst, NY/Lindenhurst) went 2-for-3 for the Rams. Sophomore shortstop Luis Feliciano (Bronx, NY/Park West) scored Farmingdale's lone run, going 2-for-4 with a double. Sophomore outfielder Keith King (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) knocked in Feliciano in the seventh.

On Wednesday, sophomore left fielder Rich Santoro (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) went 2-for-4 for the Rams. Junior third baseman John Basquez (Sunnyside, NY/Cordoza) added a double for visiting Farmingdale.

Farmingdale is back in action on Saturday, April 15 for a non-conference doubleheader against Baruch College at Noon.
