Farmingdale State Baseball will open the 2007 season on Thursday, March 1st with a single game against Kean University at 2:30 p.m.
The Rams finished with a 19-19 record in 2006 and made their first-ever appearance in the ECAC Tournament. Farmingdale was ranked as one of the most improved teams in Division III after last seasons performance. They also had three players in the Top-20 in the nation for categories including Triples, Toughest to Strikeout and Earned Run Average.
Kean finished last season 31-17 and made it to the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional Baseball Championships. They have been ranked 20th in the Nation according to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III Poll. On February 24, they opened with a 4-0 win over Stevens Institute of Technology.
The game was originally scheduled for today, February 28th, but field conditions called for a postponement.
