Rams Season Ends in Bottom of the Ninth

Auburn, N.Y. – For the second time in as many days,
Castleton State College staved off elimination by pulling out
another ninth-inning, two-out come from behind performance, while
Farmingdale State College let a last inning lead get away on an
error more than 12 hours from playing a game stretching into the
early morning.
Trailing 9-6 through eight innings, the eighth-ranked Owls rallied
for four runs, with the tying and winning runs coming in on a
throwing error to first base with two outs to come away with a 10-9
victory over the sixth-ranked and defending regional champion Rams
in the second elimination game of the day at the 2010 NCAA Division
III Championship Auburn (NY) Regional at Falcon Park.
Castleton State (34-15) continues on in the loser's bracket,
facing SUNY Oneonta in the final game of the day at 7:45 pm.
Farmingdale State has its season come to an end.
