Fischer Finishes Tied for Third Place at St. Joseph's-LI Spring Invitational

Bellport, N.Y. - Farmingdale State senior Chris Fischer (Mineola, N.Y.) finished tied for third place out of 46 competitors with rounds of 78 and 77 for a two day total of 155 at the St. Joseph's-LI Spring Invitational held at Bellport Country Club. The FSC men's golf team followed an opening round 341 with a team total of 331 on Sunday and finished in sixth place.

Sophomore Taylor Stoerback (St. James, N.Y.) posted a final round of 82 for the Rams and finished tied for 30th place (173), while junior Brian Crawford (Stormville, N.Y.) (171) was tied for 25th overall.

Division II Dominican College won the team title (312-303-615) by 18 shots over runner-up Felician (321-312-633).

Dominican's Bryce Tickner (76-74-150) edged teammate Hunter Wescott (77-75-152) by two strokes to claim medalist honors.

Farmingdale State next will compete at the Tim Brown Invitational hosted by Skidmore College at Ballston Spa Country Club on Saturday, April 13th and Sunday, April 14th.
