![]() Coach: Tom Azzara (8th season)
Coach Tom Azzara has been the Head Golf Coach at Farmingdale State since 2001. Prior to that, Coach Azzara was the assistant coach for two years under then Head Coach and Athletic Director Bruce Robbins, who retired in 2000. Coach Azzara has been at Farmingdale State since 1992 and currently serves as the Associate Athletic Director, a position he has held since 1997. Prior to that, he was the Sports Information Director and also worked in the Department of Communications at the College. Coach Azzara received his Bachelors Degree in Physical Education from Cortland State and his Master's Degree in Professional Studies (Athletic Administration Concentration) from Stony Brook University. Coach Michael Montagnino has been the golf teams Assistant Coach since 2001. Coach Montagnino is a Class A PGA Professional. Coach Montagnino's role for the team is to improve all facets of each team member's game - Fullswing, Shortgame and Course Management. Coach Montagnino utilizes the team's outdoor natural grass practice range and indoor practice putting green along with a state of the art computer JVC Video system and golf simulator. Coach Montagnino received his Bachelors in Business Administration - Marketing from Mississippi State University's Professional Golf Management Program in 1990. Assistant Coach: Patric Santiago
A 2006 Farmingdale State graduate, Patric will join the Golf
coaching staff for the 2006-07 seasons. He is the only student-athlete
to ever compete in four sports in school history and was Captain of all
four sports during his career, including soccer, golf, indoor and outdoor
track.
Assistant Coach: Ryan Williams Ryan Williams transferred to Farmingdale after playing two years at
Nassau CC. During his final season with the Rams in 2006-07, Williams
was named First Team All-Skyline, leading the team to a Skyline
Conference Championship and a first-ever appearance in the Division
III National Tournament. He had held the school record for low round
after shooting a 70 at St. George's Country Club. For his academics,
he was twice named a Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete award winner during
both his years at FSC. Williams graduated in December with a
Bachelor's degree in Management Technology (Sports Management Minor).
