Farmingdale State 88
Farmingdale State (2-3, 1-0 Skyline) defeated visiting Manhattanville College Valiants (4-3, 1-2 Skyline) 88-68 in a home conference game. The Rams took a 44-24 commanding lead into the half led by Kenny McMillan (Bronx, NY/All Hallows), who posted a double-double in the first half with 16 points and 10 boards. Manhattanville trailed 60-36 with 14 minutes remaining before going on a 17-2 run led by freshman Donte Chisolm (Mt. Vernon, NY/St. Raymondís) and junior Mike Benziger (Sonoma, CA/Sonoma Valley). Farmingdale did not let the lead slip past nine and would go on for their first conference victory of the season.
Farmingdale was led by McMillan (Bronx, NY/All Hallows) with a final tally of 20 points and 13 rebounds. Senior Damien McKenzie (Lakeview, NY/Malverne) added a second double-double for the Rams with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Farmingdale had three other players in double figures. Jimmy Williams (Philadelphia, PA/Cedar Grove) totaled 14 points, Brandon Nieves (Harlem, NY/All Hallows) finished with 12 points and Dashawn Warren (Astoria, NY/W.C. Bryant) posted 10 points.
Manhattanville finished with four in double digits. Benziger tallied 18 points, John DiBetta (Valhalla, NY/Valhalla) finished with 16 points, Chisolm had 11 points and Jerry Fiefie (Stamford, CT/Quinnipiac) with 10 points.
The Rams travel to Maritime College on Saturday, December 11th for a conference double-header. The women tip-off at Noon, the men tip-off at 2:00 p.m.
