![]() Rams With Big Win Over Old Westbury

Farmingdale State 71 Old Westbury 54 The Farmingdale State men's basketball team improved to 7-4, 4-0 in the Skyline with a 71-54 win over defending conference champions Old Westbury (6-9, 3-2 Skyline). The game was known as the most anticipated game of the season for Rams fans and proved worthy after tonight. After a low scoring first half, 23-16, a seven point lead by Farmingdale, the Rams stepped it up to score 48 points in the second and clinched the "W". Senior Damien McKenzie (Lakeview, NY/Malverne) had a huge night for Farmingdale with 20 points and eight rebounds, along with his 60-percent from the field and 8-for-9 from the line. Junior Kenny McMillan (Bronx, NY/All Hallows) led the Rams with 21 points and nine boards, while Dashawn Warren (Astoria, NY/W.C. Bryant) finished with a game-high 11 rebounds. Old Westbury was led by Russell Brereton (Amityville, NY/Copiague) and Sal Clark (Harlem, NY/Our Savior Lutheran) with 12 points each. Jared Weir (Elmont, NY/St. Mary?s) tallied 10 points for the Panthers. Farmingdale travels to William Paterson this Saturday for a 1:00pm non-conference game. |
