Warren?s Lay-In Sends Rams to Skyline Finals

Junior Dashawn Warren (Astoria, NY/W.C. Bryant) hit a running one-hander with 1.5 seconds left, sending Farmingdale State (20-7) to the Skyline Finals. Manhattanville’s (16-11) final second heave was tipped away by freshman Warren McAllister (Far Rockaway, NY/Far Rockaway) to end the game. Junior Kenny McMillan (Bronx, NY/All Hallows) finished with a game-high 25 points and eight rebounds – 8-for-11 from the field and 9-of-13 from the free throw line.

Warren finished the game with six points, six assists and two steals for Farmingdale. Freshman Brandon Nieves (Harlem, NY/All Hallows) totaled 19 points, shooting 3-for-5 from behind the arc. Senior Damien McKenzie (Lakeview, NY/Malverne) scored 8 points, grabbed six rebounds and blocked four shots.

Four players finished in double figures for Manhattanville. John DiBetta (Valhalla, NY/Valhalla) led the Valiants with 21 points and seven rebounds. Mike Benziger (Sonoma, CA/Sonoma Valley) scored 20 points, while Donte Chisolm (Mt. Vernon, NY/St. Raymond) and Jerry Fiefie (Stamford, CT/Westhill) both chipped in 12 points and finished with double-doubles.

The Rams will host the Mount Saint Mary (16-10) men’s team tomorrow night, Saturday, February 26th at 8:00pm. Our women’s basketball team also made it to the Skyline Finals - they will travel to face Mount Saint Mary women tomorrow night at 8:00pm.
