Baruch's George Kunkel (Glendale, NY/Archbishop Molloy) tipped in a rebound with 8 seconds remaining to cap off a second half rally and defeat Farmingdale State 88-87. The Bearcats improved to 5-1 this season, while the Rams fall to 1-2. Farmingdale got the final chance for the win, but a blocked shot by Carl Emengo (Brooklyn, NY/Canarsie) preserved the victory for Baruch.
Louie Karis (Brooklyn, NY/Xaverian) and Kunkel led the Bearcats with 21 and 20 points, respectively. Cheick Fadika (Abidjan, Ivory Coast/Petit) finished with 14 points and nine boards.
Farmingdale senior Dashawn Warren (Astoria, NY/W.C. Bryant) finished with a game-high 25 points, while senior Kenny McMillan recorded his third consecutive double-double with 20 points and a game-high 16 boards.
The Rams take a week off before hosting conference opponent Maritime College on Thursday, December 8th at 8:00pm.
