Lipka Shoots Lights Out for Farmingdale

Farmingdale, NY - Farmingdale State sophomore Peter Lipka (Shelton, CT/Shelton) scored a game-high 21 points in just 25 minutes of play in the Rams 91-59 victory over visiting Briarcliffe College on Wednesday night in Farmingdale, NY. Lipka shot 5-for-7 from 3-point land (8-of-11 from the field), grabbed four steals and dished out four assists. Lipka currently ranks 2nd in the nation for three-point field goal percentage. The Rams improve to 8-3, while Briarcliffe falls to 7-11.

Four others finished in double figures for Farmingdale State. Senior Dashawn Warren (Astoria, NY/W.C. Bryant) totaled 18 points with four three-pointers and eight assists. Senior Kenny McMillan (Bronx, NY/All Hallows) finished with 17 points and eight boards, while senior MD Mazique (Bronx, NY/Taft) tallied 12 points and three assists. Freshman Daimien Santana (Brooklyn, NY/Grady) had a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Briarcliffe's offense was led by David Pankey (Grady HS) with 15 points, Rondu Stevens (Campus Magnet HS) with 11 points and Michael Manusama (Calhoun HS) scored 10 points.

Farmingdale State will now travel to Old Westbury on Saturday, January 14th for a Skyline Conference game at 4:00pm.
