Men's Basketball Win Streak Snapped

Kings Point, NY - Farmingdale State's men's basketball team suffered their first regular-season conference loss in 23 games tonight, losing to Merchant Marine 85-55 in a rowdy Liebertz Gynasium in Kings Point, NY. The Rams fall to 10-4 overall, 6-1 Skyline, while the Mariners improve to 7-6, 2-2 in the Skyline. The loss was the teams first regular-season conference loss since February 11, 2004.

Junior Brian Kelly (Belle Harbour, NY/Abp. Molloy) led the Mariners with 18 points, four rebounds, and one assist, while sophomore Jimmy Sanders (Katy, TX/Cinco Ranch) totaled 17 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.

Farmingdale State senior Kenny McMillan (Bronx, NY/All Hallows) led with 12 points, while senior Dashawn Warren (Astoria, NY/W.C. Bryant) grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds and added 8 points and four assists. Senior MD Mazique (Bronx, NY/Taft) finished with 11 points.

The Rams face Maritime College on Tuesday, January 24th in Throggs Neck, NY for a conference game at 8:00pm.
