Santana Leads Rams over Maritime

Throggs Neck, NY - Freshman guard Daimien Santana (Brooklyn, NY/Grady) finished with a game-high 21 points, shooting 6-of-13 from behind the arc, to lead Farmingdale State (11-4, 7-1) over Maritime College (3-13, 0-7) in a men's basketball conference game in Throggs Neck, NY on Tuesday night.

Senior forward Kenny McMillan (Bronx, NY/All Hallows) tallied a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds, along with three assists for the Rams. Senior guard MD Mazique (Bronx, NY/Taft) added 16 points as he hit 4-of-5 three-point field goals.

Maritime's Nikero Barbes (Freeport, Bahamas/Freeport Angelican) scored 20 points and grabbed 11 boards. Robert Benton (Montgomery, AL/G.W. Carver) was the only other Privateer to score in double figures with 11 points.

Farmingdale State travels to Newburgh, NY on January 28th for a conference game against Mount Saint Mary College at 2:00pm. Both teams are 7-1 in the Skyline and fighting for sole possession of first place.
