Staten Island, 70 Farmingdale, NY - Freshman Daimien Santana (Brooklyn, NY/Grady) scored a career-high 23 points for Farmingdale State tonight, leading the Rams to their 16th win of the season in a 79-70 victory over the College of Staten Island in Farmingdale, NY. The Rams improve to 16-4 overall, while the Dolphins fell to 11-10. Farmingdale's 33-24 lead in the first half proved to be the deciding factor in the game as both teams scored 46 points in the second. Senior MD Mazique (Bronx, NY/Taft) finished with 20 points for the Rams, while junior Terry Menefee (Mission, KS/Shawnee Mission North) tallied 16 points. Senior Kenny McMillan (Bronx, NY/All Hallows) scored seven points and grabbed a game-high 17 rebounds. Junior Dennis Echols (Jamaica, NY/Stroudsburg) scored a game-high 33 points, blocked five shots and grabbed 13 rebounds for Staten Island. Sophomore Mike Comick (Washington, NJ/Warren Hills) had 14 points and four rebounds. Farmingdale State will host Stevens in a conference game on Wednesday night, February 8th at 7:00pm. The Rams have four games remaining in the regular season. |
