Men's Basketball Finals will be Broadcast LIVE!!
Feb 24, 2006

Farmingdale State's men's basketball team has advanced to the Skyline Conference Finals this Saturday, February 25th. This is the top-seeded Rams' second year in a row in the Skyline Finals and they will be hosting the # 2-seed Manhattanville Valiants on Saturday night at 7:00pm in Nold Hall in Farmingdale, NY.

Earlier this season on December 17th, Farmingdale State met Manhattanville in Purchase, NY for a triple-overtime thriller. Manhattanville led the entire first period and by as much as 18 points in the second, before the Rams used a 21-12 run to get within nine points and continued to pressure the Valiants, tying the game at 84 with 26 seconds remaining. Manhattanville tried a final chance 3-pointer at the buzzer, but missed.

Both teams scored only four points in the first and second overtime, forcing the game into another 5-minute overtime period with the score tied 92-92. Senior guard Dashawn Warren (Astoria, NY/W.C. Bryant) took the game into his own hands, scoring eight of Farmingdale's 11 points in the triple-overtime period to give the Rams a 103-102 win.

This rematch is sure to be an exciting game, as the winner will become the Skyline Champions and receive an automatic bid to the Division III NCAA Tournament. Please join us and the "Lynch Lunatics" (pictured below) at the game on Saturday night at 7:00pm in Nold Hall. If you are unable to make the game, the Athletics Department has teamed up with Sports Radio Net and T&D Sports Video Production to bring this game to you LIVE on our website. Game coverage will begin at 6:45pm.
