Farmingdale State, 63

Virginia Beach, VA - Farmingdale State's best season ever came to an end tonight as they fell to Virginia Wesleyan, 71-63, in second round action of the Division III NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament at the Batten Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The Rams held a seven point lead on the Marlins, who are ranked eighth in Division III, with 6:15 remaining, before Virginia Wesleyan used a 10-point run to take a three-point lead with 2:44 on the clock. Farmingdale could not get any shots to fall in the final minutes and 9-of-10 free-throws for Virginia Wesleyan sealed the victory. The Rams finish with an overall record of 23-6, while the Marlins continued their win streak to 24 games and advance to the Sweet-16 to play the winner of Lincoln (Pa.)/Messiah.

Three Farmingdale State seniors left it all on the floor tonight, playing in the final game of their careers. Senior forward Kenny McMillan (Bronx, NY/All Hallows) finished with game-highs of 23 points and 14 rebounds, while senior guards Dashawn Warren (Astoria, NY/W.C.
