Farmingdale, NY – The Farmingdale State men's basketball team fell to 10-6, 6-3 in the conference today as Mount Saint Mary senior guard Mike Hoyt (Florida, NY/SS Seward Institute) posted 59 points, including nine three-pointers, to lead his team to victory 84-81 in a Skyline Conference upset of the Rams in Farmingdale, NY. Mount Saint Mary improves to 7-11, 4-5 in the Skyline with the win.
Hoyt scored 30 of the Blue Knights' 36 points in the first, for a 36-33 lead at the half, before pouring in 29 more in the second. He finished the day shooting 53.3-percent from the field and 47-percent from three-point territory.
Farmingdale sophomore guard Damien Santana (Brooklyn, NY/Grady) led the Rams with 24 points and sophomore forward Davon Jackson (New York, NY/Rice) finished with 23 points and seven rebounds.
The Rams will travel to Stevens in Hoboken, NJ for another conference game on Tuesday, January 30th at 7:00pm.
