Men's and Women's Basketball Teams Receive ECAC Bids

Cape Cod, Mass. - The ECAC has announced the seedings for the 2007 ECAC Metro Basketball Championships. Both the men's and women's basketball teams received seeds for this years Tournament and will be playing in the Quarterfinal rounds this Wednesday, February 28th.

After posting a 19-7 record and making it to the Skyline Conference Finals for the fourth straight season, the Farmingdale State women's basketball team has been seeded second in the eight team Metro Region bracket. The Rams will host seventh seeded Drew University (13-13) on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.

The men's basketball team was chosen as the fifth seed in the Metro region and will travel to face fourth-seeded Rutgers-Newark University (17-10) on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. The Rams hold an 18-9 record this season and finished 11-5 in the conference.
