2006-07 Men's Basketball Season Recap
May 1, 2007

Men's basketball finished the season with an 18-10 record. The Rams fell in the Skyline Semifinals and received a bid into the ECAC Tournament as the #5-seed, falling to a very athletic Rutgers-Newark squad in the first round.

The team had two players named to the All-Conference teams. Junior guard Peter Lipka was named Second Team All-Skyline after finishing second on the team in scoring with 12.0 points per game, while leading the team from long range hitting 47.2-percent. He also led the team at the free throw line with a .732 average. Sophomore guard Damien Santana was named to the Honorable Mention Skyline team. He led the team in scoring (14.6 ppg), points scored (410), field goals made (139) and steals (38), while also averaging a second highest .394 from behind the arc.

Senior guard Terry Menefee and forward Sean McCabe will be missed on the court next year. Menefee averaged 9.5 points with 51 assists and 29 steals, and leaves Farmingdale with 447 points and a .439 shooting percentage. McCabe finished his three-year career with 301 rebounds, 291 points and a .533 field-goal percentage.

Junior forwards Tom Canning and Bobby Seible combined for 13.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game in the paint. Canning shot a team-leading 55.8-percent from the floor and scored 202 points. Seible finished with a 51.6-percent field-goal percentage and a team-high 20 blocks.

Losing just two seniors, Coach Smiles and the Rams will look to make another Skyline Playoff run in 07-08. He now holds a 61-25 record over his three seasons as head coach.
