Old Westbury - 97, Farmingdale State - 83 (2OT)


Old Westbury, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's basketball team (4-3, 2-1) came back from a first half deficit to tie the score at 73 and force overtime on Saturday afternoon, but in the second overtime the Rams were outscored 18-4 and fell to conference rival Old Westbury (4-3, 3-0) by a score of 97-83.

Junior guard Damien Santana (Brooklyn, N.Y./Grady) scored a game-high 25 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and had six assists and three steals for Farmingdale State. Senior guard Peter Lipka (Shelton, Conn./Shelton) scored 16 points and junior forward Davon Jackson (New York, N.Y./Rice) finished with 11 points.

For Old Westbury, junior forward Garthlette James (White Plains, N.Y./White Plains) led with 21 points, senior guard Anthony Stowe (Brandywine, Md./Bishop McNamara) had 18 points and freshman center Lester Prosper (Bellmore, N.Y./Mepham) and senior guard Ian Johnson (Jamaica, N.Y./John Adams) both finished with 16 points apiece.
