Santana hit 6-of-6 free throws in the final minute, but Rutgers-Newark could not connect on their final chances down the court to even the score. Santana also registered seven assists, nine rebounds and three steals for the day. Also for Farmingdale, junior forward Erastus Shannon (Amityville, N.Y./Copiague) posted the games only double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Senior guard Peter Lipka (Shelton, Conn./Shelton) knocked down 4-of-5 three pointers today and finished with 14 points. Rutgers-Newark was led by junior forward David Cherry (Linden, N.J./Roselle Catholic) with a game-high 23 points, sophomore guard James Johnson (Summit, N.J./Summit) with 15 points, senior guard Angel Collado (Jersey City, N.J./St. Peter’s Prep) with 10 points and senior forward Derryck Alexander (Lakewood, N.J./Lakewood) had 15 rebounds.
