Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y. - Senior guard Peter Lipka (Shelton, Conn./Shelton) posted 27 points, sinking 6-of-7 from three point territory, for the Rams on Tuesday night against Bard College (3-8, 0-5) to lead his team to a 92-77 conference victory. Farmingdale State improved to 6-4, 3-1 in the Skyline with the win, along with a few notable highlights by the players.
Lipka's game-high of 27 points nearly eclipsed his career-high of 29, which was set back in 2006 against the College of Staten Island. He finished the game shooting 10-of-11 (.909) from the floor. Junior guard Damien Santana (Brooklyn, N.Y./Grady) poured in 18 points, his 20th straight game scoring in double figures dating back to February 3rd of last season. Junior forward Erastus Shannon (Amityville, N.Y./Copiague) posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Senior forward Brian Robinson (White Plains, N.Y./White Plains) set a career-high as he grabbed 16 rebounds, while sophomore guard Charles Vasser (Bronx, N.Y./St. Raymond's) dished out a career-high nine assists.
For Bard, the scoring came from four main players. Raymond Arocho scored 21 points, Justin White with 18, Demitrius Washington with 16, and Christian Marghella with 13 points.
The Rams now face Polytechnic University, another Skyline opponent, on Thursday night, January 10th at 8:00 p.m.
