Men's Basketball

Junior forward Erastus Shannon (Amityville, N.Y./Copiague) was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week for men's basketball on Monday, January 14th.

Farmingdale State opened the second half of its season with three victories behind the strong play of Shannon. Shannon,who averaged 10.8 points in the first nine games, averaged 23.3 pointsand 8.7 rebounds while shooting 71.1 percent (27-for-38) thru the last three games. He recorded a double-double (13-11) in a win over Bard and wasthe team's leading scorer against Polytechnic (24) and Maritime (33).
