Farmingdale, N.Y. – After reaching the 1,000 point milestone on Saturday afternoon, junior guard Damien Santana (Brooklyn, N.Y./Grady) posted 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Farmingdale State (11-4, 8-1) to an 86-59 victory over visiting Skyline opponent Yeshiva University (6-9, 3-6). This was the largest margin of victory (27 points) ever for the Rams against Yeshiva, and moved them back into a tie for first place in the conference with nine games remaining to play in the regular season. Farmingdale shot 58-percent from the floor and 56-percent from behind the arc in the game. Sophomore guard Daniel Phillips (Baldwin, N.Y./Baldwin) finished with 13 points in 18 minutes of play, while senior guard Peter Lipka (Shelton, Conn./Shelton) had 11 points. Junior forward Erastus Shannon (Amityville, N.Y./Copiague) registered nine points and nine rebounds. Junior guard Joe Cammarata (Levittown, N.Y./MacArthur) posted nine points and four assists. For Yeshiva, sophomore guard Alex Claster (Kansas City, MO/Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy) led with 18 points, including six three-pointers. Freshman guard Zachary Gordon (Miami, Fla./RASG Hebrew Academy) also had 18 points. The Rams will host the College of Mount Saint Vincent this Saturday, January 26th in a conference double-header.
