Farmingdale State - 109, Purchase - 39 


Purchase, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State College men's basketball team scored big against conference opponent Purchase College (3-15, 2-9) on Tuesday night, January 29th, with a 109-39 victory to improve their season record to 13-4, 10-1 in the Skyline. Senior guard Peter Lipka (Shelton, Conn./Shelton) scored 25 points, sinking 7-of-8 from long range. As a team, the Rams made 14 three-pointers, and over the past four games have hit 12 or more three's, 53-of-98 (54-percent), from three-point territory.

Junior guard Damien Santana (Brooklyn, N.Y./Grady) finished with 18 points, nine assists and five steals. Sophomore guard Daniel Phillips (Baldwin, N.Y./Baldwin) registered 17 points, junior guard Joe Cammarata (Levittown, N.Y./MacArthur) had 14 points and senior forward Brian Robinson (White Plains, N.Y./White Plains) posted the games only double-double with 12 points and 10 boards.

Farmingdale State will now host Old Westbury on Saturday, February 2nd, in a conference double-header with the women's team starting at Noon. The men's game is slated to begin at 2:00 p.m.
