Five in Double Figures over City Tech
Men's Basketball Increases Win Streak to 13 Straight
Brooklyn, N.Y.- Five players from Farmingdale State (17-4) registered in double figures last night, in a 104-59 victory over City Tech (7-17) in a non-conference men's basketball game in Manhattan, N.Y. The Rams held City Tech to just 17 points in the first half, holding a 51-17 lead, before pouring in another 53 points to increase their program record winning streak to 13 games.
Junior guard Damien Santana (Brooklyn, N.Y./Grady) led Farmingdale with 26 points, while junior forward Davon Jackson (New York, N.Y./Rice) tallied up 17 points. Senior guard Warren McAllister (Far Rockaway, N.Y./Far Rockaway) had 14 points and eight rebounds. Junior guard Joe Cammarata (Levittown, N.Y./MacArthur) posted 14 points, four assists and four steals. Sophomore guard Dan Phillips (Baldwin, N.Y./Baldwin) was the final Ram in double figures with 10 points and eight boards.
City Tech was led by Ryan Phillip with 19 points, Jamaal Hall with 18 points and Quincey Leon with 12 points.
The Rams will now host Bard College at home on Thursday night, Valentine's Day, at 8:00 p.m., following the women's game at 6:00 p.m. At halftime of the men's game, the Athletic Department will be holding a special ceremony honoring the women's soccer teams Championship season. Coca-Cola, in conjunction with Aramark, will be present at the games to give away free drink, food and prizes.
