Farmingdale, N.Y. – Farmingdale State senior guard Peter Lipka (Shelton, Conn./Shelton) scored his 1,000th career point tonight with a three-pointer from the right side with 9:27 remaining in the game, and the Rams (18-4, 14-1) surged ahead to win their 14th straight game with a 105-66 victory over Skyline opponent Bard College (7-15, 4-11) tonight in a men’s basketball game in Farmingdale, N.Y. After a 13 point night, Lipka now holds 1,000 points, 258 rebounds, 193 assists and 92 steals over his four-year tenure with the Rams, who are ranked third in the Atlantic Region and stand atop the Skyline with three games remaining in regular season play.
Five other players from Farmingdale scored in double figures tonight. Senior forward Brian Robinson (White Plains, N.Y./White Plains) posted a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds. Junior guard Damien Santana (Brooklyn, N.Y./Grady) finished with 17 points. Senior guard Warren McAllister (Far Rockaway, N.Y./Far Rockaway) had 13 points, all in the first half, and nine rebounds. Sophomore guard Daniel Phillips (Baldwin, N.Y./Baldwin) scored 12 points and junior guard Joe Cammarata (Levittown, N.Y./MacArthur) had 10 points. Junior forward Erastus Shannon (Amityville, N.Y./Copiague) grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked four shots tonight.
Sophomore guard Justin White (New York, N.Y./Institute for Collaborative Education) led Bard College with finished with 20 points.
The Rams will host Mount Saint Mary College this Saturday, February 16th at 2:00 p.m. in their final home game of the regular season. It will be Senior Day for Lipka, Robinson and McAllister.
