Skyline Releases Men's Basketball Report #6

- AJ Matthews Named Player of the Week -


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the sixth men's Basketball report for the 2011-12 season this afternoon, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.

Junior forward AJ Matthews (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week for men's basketball. Matthews continued his spectacular season by being voted the Most Outstanding Player in the Randolph-Macon Coaches Classic. In the opening round win vs. Kean, he had 20 points, 17 rebounds and six blocks. In a last minute loss to the host team, he netted 18 points, 16 boards and blocked three shots. Matthews shot 70% from the field in the tourney. He leads the Skyline in ppg (23.0), rpg (14.5), blocks (3.0) and FG pct. (62.6%).
