Meola Nets Six at Marymount

Arlington, Va. - The Farmingdale State men's lacrosse team fell to 0-3 overall after a 13-8 loss to Marymount College (1-3) in Arlington, Va. on Sunday night. Junior Joe Meola (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point) led the Rams attack, tying a career-high of six goals, while senior Kevin Winters (Baldwin, N.Y./Baldwin) made 11 saves.

Meola scored three in the first quarter as Farmingdale fell behind 5-3, before Marymount registered six straight goals in the second and built up an 11-3 lead at the half. Meola added a goal with a minute left in the half and scored two more in the fourth. Sophomore Kyle Buchberg (Baldwin, N.Y./Baldwin) and freshman Jon Trama (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) each netted a goal each.

The Rams will host Oswego State on Sunday, March 11th at Noon.
