Rams End Season at Maritime

Maritime College - 18, Farmingdale State - 8

Throggs Neck, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's lacrosse team (3-10, 1-4) played in their final game of the 2008 season today in a Skyline Conference match-up with Maritime College (11-3, 4-1) in Throggs Neck, N.Y. Rams junior goaltender Teddy Leone (East Meadow, N.Y./East Meadow) made 18 saves in the 18-8 loss.

Maritime jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first period and added seven more in the second to hold an 11-1 lead at the half. Farmingdale State played even lacrosse in the final two periods, scoring seven goals to Maritime's seven, but could not rally ahead for the win.

Junior attacker Sean Maxwell (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) led the Rams with four goals and two assists. Senior attacker Joe Meola (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point) scored one goal and added two assists in his final game for Farmingdale State.
