Wieczorek and Napolitano Earn ECAC All-Star Honors

Danbury, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2017 Division III South Men's Lacrosse Awards and All-ECAC selections.

The Farmingdale State men's lacrosse team had two ECAC South All-Stars as freshman attack Ryan Wieczorek (West Islip, N.Y.) and freshman defender Justin Napolitano (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) each earned Second Team honors.

Wieczorek, the FSC single-season record holder for goals scored, tallied 69 goals, including 13-man up and 13 assists for team-leading 82 points this season. Wieczorek led the Skyline Conference in both goals and goals per game (3.83) and was fourth for points and points per game (4.56). In the Nation, he ranked second in man-up scores (one behind the NCAA leader), sixth in goals per game and 35th for points per game.

Napolitano anchored a Farmingdale State defense that was fourth in Division III in caused turnovers per game (12.89) and 49th in scoring defense. He caused a team and conference-high 48 turnovers to go along with 59 ground balls, three goals and six assists. Napolitano's 2.67 caused turnovers per game were the 12th-best in the Nation.
