![]() Freshmen Lead Mens Soccer Past John Jay

Farmingdale State, 2 John Jay, 0 Brooklyn, NY - The Farmingdale State men's soccer team improved to 2-4-1 today by defeating John Jay (2-7) 2-0 in a non-conference game in Brooklyn, NY. Freshman forward Ryan Paul (Sayville, NY/Sayville) and freshman defender Marcos Cipra (Long Beach, NY/Long Beach) each scored a goal late in the second half to lead the Rams to victory. Paul scored the eventual game-winner at 74:18, assisted by sophomore midfielder Prince Eltosam (Bronx, NY/Christopher Columbus). The insurance goal was added five minutes later, as Cipra scored on a pass from Andrew Jardine (Centereach, NY/Our Savior New American). Farmingdale's freshman goalkeeper Patrick Gubbins (East Patchogue, NY/Bellport) made five saves in the win. The Rams now host Brooklyn College in a non-conference game on Wednesday, September 27th at 4:30pm. |
