Farmingdale, N.Y. – The Farmingdale State men’s soccer team improved to 10-9 today with a convincing 6-0 win over Purchase (6-12-1) in a Skyline Conference Quarterfinal match-up. Senior forward Andrew Whilby (St. Albans, N.Y./Wolmers Boys School) scored two goals in his final home game for the Rams to help the team advance to the Semifinal round on Thursday, November 1^st.

Farmingdale State sophomore forward Prince Eltosam (Bronx, N.Y./Christopher Columbus) also scored two goals in the win. Senior captain and defender James Varrichio (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa) scored the team’s third goal of the day. Sophomore defender Mathew Arthurs (Islip Terrace, N.Y./East Islip) added an unassisted goal.

The Rams now face top-seeded St. Joseph's in the Skyline Semifinals on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in Patchogue, N.Y.
