Coach: Chuck Schimpf (5th season)

Coach Chuck Schimpf began coaching at Farmingdale State in the fall of 2003. Prior to coming to Farmingdale, Coach Schimpf was the head coach at Suffolk Community College - Western Campus for five years. During that time, Suffolk-West was ranked Nationally in the NJCAA each of his five years, including a #2 ranking in 1999. He was named both the NJCAA and the National Soccer Coaches Athletic Association (NSCAA) Coach of the Year. Before Suffolk-West, Coach Schimpf was an assistant coach at Kings Point, Suffolk-Selden and StonyBrook University. Coach Schimpf is a former professional soccer player in the United Soccer League (Buffalo Storm - 1984) and the Major Indoor Soccer League (New York Express - 1985-1986). He is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, where he recieved his Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education.

Assistant Coach: Trevor Thompson

A 2006 Farmingdale State graduate, Trevor joined the soccer coaching staff for the 2005 season, after playing two years at Suffolk West (01-02) and two years at Farmingdale State (03-04), all under the direction of Coach Schimpf.

Trevor was a Team Captain in 2002 at Suffolk West and 2004 at Farmingdale. He was the starting sweeper at Farmingdale, starting all 36 games in his two seasons with the Rams. He was also a member of Farmingdale's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for two years.

Assistant Coach: Patric Santiago

A 2006 Farmingdale State graduate, Patric joins the coaching staff for the 2006-07 season as an Assistant Coach and Goalie Coach. He was the only student-athlete to ever compete in four sports in school history and was Captain of all four sports during his career, including soccer, golf, indoor and outdoor track.

In soccer, a starting goalkeeper for four years, Patric finished his senior year with 109 saves and four shutouts, helping the team to a ranking as one of the most improved teams in Division III in 2005. His junior year in soccer, he ranked 15th in the Nation with an average of eight saves per game. Patric also served as the Vice President of Farmingdale's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
