Freshman midfielder Fabian Santibanez (Oyster Bay, NY/Oyster Bay) tallied two goals and an assist for the Rams on Wednesday night at Captain Tomb Field in a 5-3 conference loss against the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy-King’s Point. Farmingdale State falls to 2-3, 0-1 Skyline, while King’s Point improves to 4-2, 2-0 Skyline.

King’s Point answered back with two more goals in the first half and a quick goal at the start of the second half, for a 4-1 lead.

The Rams would strike back 14 minutes into the second, as Thomas Mueller (Babylon, NY/Babylon) scored on a give-and-go fastbreak pass from Santibanez to cut the USMMA lead to 4-2. Santibanez scored off a free kick in the waning seconds for Farmingdale’s third goal.

The Rams have a week of rest before traveling for the next game on Wednesday, September 21st against conference opponent Maritime College at 4pm.
