Rams Remain Unbeaten in Skyline Conference Play

Farmingdale, N.Y. – The Farmingdale State men’s soccer team defeated Purchase College, 3-0, in a Skyline Conference game this afternoon in Farmingdale N.Y.

Junior Marcos Cipra (Long Beach, NY / Long Beach) scored the games opening goal at the 14:11 mark, giving the Rams the early 1-0 advantage. Freshman Nick Pancotto (Islip, NY / Islip) scored on a pass from Ryan Lang (West Babylon, NY / West Babylon) at the 32nd minute, extending the Farmingdale State lead to 2-0. The Rams allowed only one shot on goal in the first half.

In the second, freshman Ryan Standridge (Lindenhurst, NY / Lindenhurst) added the games final goal for Farmingdale State, Lang recorded the assist, his second of the afternoon. The home win improved the Rams to 3-0 in Skyline Conference play.

Junior goalkeeper Patrick Gubbins (East Patchogue, NY / Bellport) recorded three saves in the victory for Farmingdale State; David Kurzueil (Bedford, NY / Fox Lane) had five saves in the defeat for the Panthers.

The Rams travel to Maritime for a Skyline Conference game on Wednesday, October 15th at 7:00 pm.
