Maritime Slips Past Rams in Skyline Game

Throggs Neck, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's soccer team took a 1-0 loss at the hands of Skyline opponent Maritime College (4-4, 1-0) on Thursday night at Reinhart Field in Throggs Neck, N.Y. The Rams now stand at 1-8 overall, 0-2 in the conference.

Farmingdale State outshot the Privateers 22-10 in the contest, but Maritime junior midfielder Tom Federico (Islip, N.Y./Islip) would score the lone goal of the game in the 69th minute, sending home a pass from junior midfielder John Blunden (Arlington, Va./Washington).

Junior goalkeeper Ricky Meschkow (Plainview, N.Y./Plainview-Old Bethpage) made five saves in defeat.

The Rams will now host NYU-Poly in a conference home game on Saturday, September 25th at Noon.
