Rams Fall in Season Opener at Vassar

Vassar College - 9, Farmingdale State - 0


Poughkeepsie, N.Y. -

The Farmingdale State men's tennis team opened their season against Vassar College on February 11 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. The Rams fell 9-0 to a strong Vassar team.

In doubles play, Farmingdale State was able to win five games but lost all 3 sets to an experienced Vassar squad. In singles play, Zach Cooper lost a close set at 5th singles - 6-4, 6-4. Top singles player Christian Bormann fell in the first game 6-4 and second game 6-0.

The Rams will return to action in a scrimmage with Suffolk Community College on Wednesday, March 21 at 4:00 p.m., before opening up their conference schedule with a home game against Mount Saint Mary on Saturday, March 24 at 1:00 p.m.
