Rams Fall at Home to Hunter

Farmingdale,N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team suffered a 6-3 loss at home against non-conference opponent Hunter College on Friday night. The Rams dropped to 2-2 overall with the loss, while Hunter picked up their first win and stands at 1-0.

Farmingdale State trailed 2-1 after doubles play, picking up an 8-2 win at 3rd doubles by junior Jimmy Lopez (Medford, N.Y.) and junior Brian Heinlein (Patchogue, N.Y.).

In singles play, the Rams Heinlein won in the fifth spot and another win came from Marvin Beaubrun in the sixth spot. The 2nd and 3rd singles were close three-set matches, sophomore Kevin Palacios (Glen Cove, N.Y.) and senior Judd Bahoui (Long Beach, N.Y.), but Hunter took those two sets for the win.

The Rams will open the Skyline Cconference schedule on Saturday, March 22nd at home against The Sage Colleges at 1:00 p.m.
