Baker and Maslak Lead Rams against Sarah Lawrence

Farmingdale State - 7, Sarah Lawrence - 2

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team improved to 6-6 overall, 2-2 in Skyline play with a 7-2 victory today over Sarah Lawrence (4-3, 2-3).

The Rams started the match 2-1 in doubles play. The first doubles sophomore team of Zachary Baker (Carmel, N.Y.) and Bradley Maslak (Middle Island, N.Y.) won 8-3, while the third doubles freshmen tandem of Elijah McCall (West Babylon, N.Y.) and Joseph Napoli (Farmingdale, N.Y.) posted an 8-6 win.

Baker and Maslak went undefeated for the day by also winning their singles matches. Baker took a 6-1, 6-0 win in the #1 spot, while Maslak won 5-7, 6-4, 6-0 in the #2 spot.

Farmingdale State won three more singles matches en route to the conference win, with victories posted by junior Patrick Madigan (Sayville, N.Y.), sophomore James Roth (Massapequa, N.Y.) and freshman Stephano Dasaro (Glen Cove, N.Y.).

The Rams will now travel to face Hunter on Thursday, April 20th at Alley Pond in Queens, N.Y.
