FSC Falls, 5-4, to FDU-Florham

FDU-Florham - 5, Farmingdale State - 4

Madison, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team played their second and final match of the Fall season this morning at non-conference opponent FDU-Florham and fell, 5-4. The Rams fall to 0-2, while the Devils improve to 3-0.

FSC earned victories in both the #1 and #2 doubles as junior Zachary Baker (Carmel, N.Y.) and senior Marvin Beaubrun (Farmingdale, N.Y.) captured first doubles, 8-4, and junior Bradley Maslak (Middle Island, N.Y.) and freshman Steven Gaudio (Miller Place, N.Y.) took second doubles, 8-5. 

Heading into singles play trailing 2-1, FDU-Florham won four out of the possible six points in singles competition to earn the 5-4 non-conference victory. Baker and Beaubrun won at the #1 and #4 spots, respectively.

Baker, 2-0 at both #1 doubles and #1 singles, and Beaubrun, 2-0 at #1 doubles and 1-0 at #4 singles, remained undefeated on the season.

The Rams return back to action in the Spring when they travel to York (NY) College on Wednesday, March 14th at 4:00 p.m.
