Farmingdale State Leads ECAC in Two Events

Farmingdale, N.Y. - Going into the Holiday Break, Farmingdale State leads the ECAC performance list in two events and is in the Top 5 in two others.

Joe Scher (Franklin Square, N.Y./H.F. Carey) is tied for first in the 55M dash with a time of 6.34 (HTC).

The 4x200M relay team of Scher, Jason Chin Chitty (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon), Dan Billian (East Meadow, N.Y./W.T. Clarke) and Naveed Mohammed (Central Islip, N.Y./Central Islip) ranks first with a time of 1:32.63.

Qasim Ellis (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) ranks second in the long jump with a 6.72M (22' 3/4") performance. This is the 3/4" off the leading jump.

Brandon Drummond (Bay Shore, N.Y./Brentwood) ranks 5th in the 35lb. weight throw with a toss of 15.48M (50' 9 1/2").

Farmingdale's next meet will be the Metro Coaches Invitational on January 9th at the New Balance Track and Field Center in Manhattan, N.Y.
