Rams Compete at Last Chance Qualifier

Staten Island, N.Y. - The men's and women's indoor track teams competed at the Fastrack Last Chance Qualifier on Saturday, February 24th at the Ocean Breeze Track & Field Center.

Rams sophomore Samantha Pollucci (Bay Shore, N.Y.) qualified in the 200m with a time of 25.99. She finished in 3rd place in her event and was the top college runner in the meet.

In the 60m Hurdles, Idowu Bamisile (Brooklyn, N.Y.) took 5th place, posted an 8.38 in the prelims and an 8.50 in the finals.

Senior Nikola Georgiev (Kings Park, N.Y.) placed 6th in the 200m with a career-best time of 22.47, improving to #6 All-Time at FSC. He also finished 16th in the 60m (7.34) to move to #10 All-Time.

Junior Philip Sellitto (Levittown, N.Y.) recorded a 7th place finish in the 200m (22.56). He also ran a 7.24 in the 60m to improved to #7 All-Time.


Farmingdale State will now compete in the Atlantic Regionals at Ithaca College on Friday-Saturday, March 2-3. Below are the eight student-athletes who have qualified for Regionals, along with their events (including qualifying time and regional rank in the event).

Jyaire Ewa: Weight Throw (18.12m, 1st)

Nicolas Fratto: 60m (7.07, 16th), 200m (21.84, 6th), 4x2 Relay, 4x4 Relay

Chad George: 60m (7.06, 14th), 4x2 Relay, 4x4 Relay

Samantha Pollucci: 60m (7.99, 18th) and 200m (25.99, 15th)

Nikola Georgiev: 4x2 Relay, 4x4 Relay

Joseph Motis: 4x2 Relay, 4x4 Relay

Philip Sellitto: 400m (49.59, 14th), 4x2 Relay, 4x4 Relay
