Rams Finish 4th at Stevens Invitational

Jersey City, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's cross country teams ran at the Stevens Invitational on Friday, September 21st. The men's team placed 4th of 6 teams in the 4000-meter race. Junior Brandon Gillis (Hudson, N.Y./Hudson) led the team with an 8th place finish in a time of 14:54.

Freshman Gregory Denis (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont Memorial) finished in 12th place, followed by sophomore Thomas DiCamillo (Garden City, N.Y./Holy Trinity) in 15t, junior Jason Chin Chitty (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon) in 24th and sophomore Eric Harris (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) in 26th.

The women's team also finished fourth, as junior Teresa Cox (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bellport) and freshman Kristyn Ruggiero (Commack, N.Y./Commack) led the pack in 22nd and 24th, respectively. Freshman Danielle Zugajewicz (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) finished in 36th and sophomore Nicole Zarek (Massapequa, N.Y./Farmingdale) finished 47th.

The Rams run next on October 7th at the Highlander Invitational at Branch Brook Park in Newark, N.J.
