Queens, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State cross country team ran at the St. John's Fall Country Classic on Sunday, October 14th at Cunningham Park in Queens, N.Y. Freshman Kristyn Ruggiero (Commack, N.Y./Commack) and junior Teresa Cox (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bellport) led the women's team to a seventh place finish. Kristyn ran 16:45 (29th place) and Teresa ran 16:45 (30th place) for the 4000-meter course. Kristyn and Teresa were the top Division III runners in a very strong field of Division I and II athletes in the race.

Danielle Zugajewicz - 19:03 (43rd place)
Nicole Zarek - 26:18 (62nd place)
Samary De La Cruz - 26:43 (63rd place)
For the men's team, junior Brandon Gillis (Hudson, N.Y./Hudson) led the team with a 37th place finish in 18:47 for the 5000-meter course. The team placed 5th in the meet and were the first team in Division III to finish.
