Santiago Takes 5th Place at Last Chance Meet

New York, NY - The men's and women's outdoor track team competed in the Last Chance Meet at Icahn Stadium in Randalls Island, NY on Saturday, May 13th. Senior captain Patric Santiago triple jumped 44' 9 1/4" (13.66m) to place fifth in the meet. Sophomore captain Reggie Routier finished just behind Patric in sixth place with a jump of 43' 7 1/4" (13.29m). Junior Armann Leifsson ran a personal best 1:56.60 in the 800m to finish in 14th place.

This was the last meet before the ECAC Championships next weekend, May 19-20, at Springfield College in Springfield, Mass. Four of Farmingdale State's student-athletes will be making the trip to the ECAC's.

ECAC Qualifiers:

Patric Santiago - Triple Jump

Reggie Routier - Triple Jump and 110m High Hurdles

Akil Williams - High Jump

Jason Chin-Chitty - Long Jump
